VIDEO

Video Director (TD): leader of weekend team. Responsible for executing all cuts, dissolves, graphics and video playback using the video switcher

Assistant Director (AD): Assists the Video Director of upcoming service elements; announcing cues, transitions, song sections (intros, solos, breaks, leads), camera composition; iris, focus, white balance and setting up pre-determined shots, etc. Puts cues in resi for other campuses.

Pro Presenter: Responsible for the presentations of lyrics, scripture verses, message notes, graphics, motion graphics, and video playback during the weekend services. 

Teleprompter: Responsible for the presentation of message notes on the teaching pastors confidence monitor during the weekend services. 

Shader: Responsible for maintaining the iris (brightness levels) of all stationary and mobile cameras, changing stationary camera frame rates between 24 and 30 fps for worship and teaching, and recording of all services at all campuses. 

Stationary Camera: Operates stationary camera located within the auditorium on a tripod typically in the house, or in front of the stage. 

Dolly Camera: Operates dolly cameras located within the auditorium on a rail system that allows the operator to move right and left gradually to obtain shots of crowd and stage to build the experience both in the room and online.

Mobile Camera: Operates mobile camera located either on-stage (handheld) or in front of the stage (handheld/tripod on dolly), typically getting close-up shots of band and instruments.

AUDIO

Front of House (FOH): Leader of the weekend audio team. Mixes the band and all media elements from the front of house position. Responsible for signal integrity from all sources including the stage (instruments), computer sources, video world, etc., as well as all system routing, ensuring proper audio sends to not only the PA system in the room, but also other building and campus locations. Ensures proper audio feeds to video sources as well as streaming to the West Campus. Communicates with band during rehearsals and with West Campus over clear-com. Responsible for overall sound and mixing in the room.

Audio A2: Primary assistant to the weekend audio team. This crucial rule functions as a safety net for all other anchored positions. The A2 moves between FOH, Monitor pit, lobby, video control etc. to ensure proper signal integrity and volumes. The A2 is primarily responsible for the recording of services, which involve setting up the main recording computer, and triggering CD recordings. Helps FOH mixer with all cues throughout service.

Monitors: Critical mixer for the band’s in-ear audio mixes. This person primarily serves the band, ensuring optimal sound in each mix. Responsible for signal flow and proper levels to all individual stereo mixes, wireless and or wired. Troubleshoots any issues on stage. This person also gathers the band and cues them for stage entrances, monitors wireless signals/integrity, and changes batteries according to preset schedule.

Setup/Configuration: Weekday assistant for stage setup and console configuration. Responsible for instrument wiring and patching into audio system. Sets up applicable stands and devices according to stage plot. Creates patch list and determines monitor mixes for band members. Configures audio monitor and FOH consoles according to standard procedures and ensures proper digital routing. Reports necessary setup information to FOH and Monitor mixers for weekend services.

 

LIGHTING

Operator: In charge of running lighting console during all weekend services, which involves following along with lyric sheets and hit cues throughout songs. You will learn a general knowledge of operating the console as well as making minor changes needed during the weekend. This position reports to the weekend lead.

Programmer: In charge of programming the weekend cue-lists and filling out lyric sheets (scans) for the Operator scheduled during that weekend. This position typically requires serving on the Production team for 3-4 months.

Weekend Lead: In charge of turning on all lighting equipment and making sure all lights are working properly. In this position, you will learn how to rig and focus a light fixture. The Weekend Lead is solely in charge of all lighting when the Staff Lighting Designer is not present. This includes watching over the Operator position and making sure he/she is capable and comfortable in the Operator position.
